NYPD shoot hammer weilding man

OK liberals you can add one more to your insane statistical threads on how many civilians are shot by Police every year. for "no reason" This idiot was walking around NYC for several weeks attacking people with a hammer for no apparent reason. There is another video of him walking up behind a man and woman walking down the street when he suddenly pulls a hammer out and hits the poor woman in the head. Two alert NYPD officers recognized him from wanted posters and when they approached he took out the hammer and began to attack one of the officers her partner fired four shots hitting the suspect three times. These two officers did what all good cops do day in and day out protected the public from a savage out to kill and injure innocent people. But I am sure some will have a problem with this because the police came out on top this time and thankfully were not killed.

I don't care for your tone Mike, but thanks for the link.

Perhaps you meant to post in PARF, where ''liberals'' post ''insane'' threads, and all sorts of hijinks ensue.

Mike80911 05-13-2015 05:19 PM

Sorry if my tone is not right but I am growing weary of seeing thread after thread about police officers shooting more civilians than civilians shooting police officers. If you do not have the facts of what took place in the shooting how can you judge if it was right or wrong. Here we have the facts and they look to me to be justified.

Nostril Cheese 05-13-2015 05:21 PM

I understand your frustration, but this is not simply a liberal or conservative issue. It affects all of us, good cops too.

Mike80911 05-13-2015 05:33 PM

I consider these two officers very good cops. Even with all of the anti police protests going on all over the city and officers being gunned down in the street, These two officers are out there doing their job and risking their lives for the people of this city. Had he hit her in the head with the hammer she could be dead right now. They could have looked the other way and ignored him but they knew this maniac needed to be stopped before he killed someone and stop him they did. Day in and day out "good cops" do their job and continue to serve the public. Just goes to show what type of people most cops are.

Nostril Cheese 05-13-2015 05:38 PM

I agree with you, the cops did the right thing.

rusnak 05-13-2015 05:38 PM

Don't weild a hammer, and you don't get shot. That was a justified take down if I ever saw one.

The story might be fodder for discussion, but you made it political. If there are any moderators here anymore they should PARF this sucker.

I clicked on the link provided and watched the video. Hat's off to those two.

Ironically, though, this was the very next video that loaded. I did not go looking for it:

Sounds justified to me. Job well done.

Oh no please do not say that I am afraid to be sent to PARF. Who cares where the thread is go back and fire someone for being late to work. My comments hit home with you I guess. I see it is hard for someone like yourself to simply admit that not all cops are bad and these two did the right thing

Let the hammer weilding masses start thier rioting now for killing one of thier own !

Rick Lee 05-14-2015 05:27 AM

I think I've read several times that more Americans are killed by hammers than with assault rifles every year. So this was a good shoot!

Mike80911 05-14-2015 05:33 AM

The news is reporting today that he hit the officer twice with the hammer once in the shoulder and once in the neck. They also reported there were no words exchanged, as soon as the officers approached he took out the hammer and attacked.

vash 05-14-2015 06:52 AM

Stupid. Hammer is a deadly weapon. Or can be, ask any nail.

I love how the OP offered this example to spark a debate. Makes no sense.

EMJ 05-14-2015 07:14 AM

OP, your point is moot. A good shoot doesn't exonerate the officers who are involved in "bad" shoots. Those guys are still scumbags. Separate issues, really.

The South Carolina dirt bag who shot the guy running away 6 times on video and the murdered kid in Baltimore with the broken neck in the custody of multiple officers - that happened. Sure, most LEO's are good law abiding citizens who protect and serve, but like anything, the bad apples will garner the headlines.

Mike80911 05-14-2015 10:17 AM

So the point that not all Police involved shootings are "bad shootings" as portrayed in several other threads is moot? I guess that is your opinion certainly I disagree

I love how you reply to a thread that makes no sense. Now that seems stupid

EMJ 05-14-2015 10:21 AM

No, that's not my opinion. My opinion is that some shoots are just bad shoots and they do occur by bad LEO's on occasion and it's unfortunate.

gordner 05-14-2015 11:38 AM

Seems justified for sure, but as stated previously, that does not mean they are all justified by any means.
