Any Real Estate Guys use CoStar?

Small chance but, I know there are some other commercial real estate guys on this board. Anyone using the services of CoStar? They bill themselves as the # 1 Commercial Real Estate Information Company.

They offer valuation tools, sales and leasing information on comm R/E in many markets in the US UK and Canada.

Any feedback would be great. Thanks.

Yep, they are the 1,000 lb. gorilla in the commercial RE info space, especially after acquiring LoopNet a few years back. Depending on the "tier" you have/need, subscription fees can be ridiculous.

Yes, Costar has tremendous access to information, given that, their information may not be perfect. Are you a commercial broker? If you are, and you are questioning Costar, then I would suspect they have not made it into your market yet. If that is the case, then their information there is likely lacking.

Yep. Commercial broker.

They are newly in the Toronto market so far and trying to get into Vancouver (my market). I think their subscription fee is +-$900/month for what I want. I invest a lot into my business so I'm OK with the fee if the service can live up to its hype. I have tried services that cater to my business before with mixed results.

t don't think they have my market covered yet as the rep is based in Toronto. The info they do provide in their more mature markets is pretty compelling. I like to early adopt and I think if this service delivers as advertised I could have a 24-36 month jump on my competitors.

Thanks for the responses.
