Driving I-68 in the hills of western Maryland yesterday there were brain dead clowns passing me on the right as soon as the uphill truck/SMV lane opened. I could imagine one of the trucks going 60 and slowing pulling right just in front of one of these bozos going 80. Most of the time the left lane was open, but they didn't care/notice.

I can only hope what I saw today was justice to a really bad problem. I have the cruise set at 74 (you'll get nailed for 5 over) in a 70 in the middle lane. Two cars, with Kansas plates, pass me on the left, then a half mile later, a state trooper (in a pick up truck) also passes on the left. He catches up to the two. After about a 1/2 mile, the lead car moves to the right, the other doesn't. The trooper pulls the one a$$wipe over.

I hope the driver received two tickets, and a body cavity search.

Now wait a minute. You were in the middle lane, that means it was a three lane highway. In California, at least, the "left lane for passing" law applies only to two lane roads. Is the law different in your state or did he get stopped for speeding?

Just because you don't own a car that can do 80 doesn't make those who can ass whipes..

Just now in "Granola Canyon" aka Topanga -- notorious for slow, oblivious drivers -- I was stuck behind a guy who seemed either drunk, lost, distracted, blind, stupid, having car trouble, or all of the above. Wildly erratic steering and speed ranging from 20-50; limit is mostly 40-45 IIRC. A long train of cars accumulated behind him and me.

So we came to the "slower traffic use passing lane" section where it widens, and I ass-umed he would get over, but NO. So I had to pass the fucher anyway. I did it on the left. Just could not take anymore nor could I bring myself to use the right pass-ee lane as the pass-er.

I'm convinced that people like this cause 80% if not more of the traffic in LA.

I don't know what he was stopped for, but what I witnessed, I could surmise he was stopped for a violation of left lane for passing only. He wasn't passing anyone, and the middle lane was clear. The trooper followed the car for awhile, and could have nailed both.
