Darwin is a busy dude , WTF was that guy thinking?
Read about this accident this morning:.
so a guy has a man lift, often called a cherry picker. It isn't sitting on the flat level firm ground, instead it is sitting on the back of a flatbed truck. Are the outriggers down for stability? Hell no. it's sitting on it's rubber tires. On the truck bed. Did I mention that it's pretty windy? So the logical thing to do in that situation is take 4 kids up with you, 6 stories in the air and wait for a gust of wind to topple it and crush you all into the ground. Which BTW didn't take long. If he just took himself out that'd be one thing, but did he have to do that to the kids? IN-sane. And here's the amazing part. He owned his own tree business and used manlifts like that all the time, which means HE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER! From his website: Ken's Tree Company - Tree Care Services | Albuquerque, NM Quote:

So
This spicificly is addressed in the Ohsa handbook- Paragraph 24- "The aerial platform shall not be operated from a position on trucks, trailers, railway cars, floating vessels, scaffolds, or other similar equipment unless the application is approved in writing by the manufacturer."http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1433194425.jpg |
Thoughts and prayers.
Before he did it, the thoughts alone would have saved them. |
Mother Nature takes no prisoners.
