Good article.
Fun Fact. Ed Pink builds the engines.

Fun fact part deux: A 4 liter engine is now an option.

That's a lot of coin......and a lot of car.

Is it $390K and a donor car? They do look nice though.

herr_oberst 06-07-2015 05:29 PM

They're built to order, plenty of optional options, 390 seems to be a ballpark figure, and you do have to provide a donor.

"The rougher the better" is a quote from the article...

I'm pretty sure there is a limit to how rough the donor wants to be.

This just does it for me. All that basket weave

A 4 litre sounds interesting.

I read that article earlier this weekend... IMHO an absolutely ridiculous car, and not in a good way.

...

I've had a 4 litre...for a very short time...I've also had a 4.2 liter, again for a very short time! ;)

Heard rumors of issues with the early engines. Ed Pink is one of the most successful engine builders in any form of racing. Indycar, drag, dirt, and 962 Imsa motors are all in his resume to name a few. Interesting article about him in HotRod in the past year or so.

The Si get isa pretty cool ride as well, got to spend a little time in one. They definitely market to the man who has everything, but so what? Cool concept

I got to see some of the assembly work on the prototype. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is pretty impressive. I'd buy one if I had the coin.
