Sending money to Canada?

A native of the Waswanipi area in Quebec was a huge help to me last week. I'd like to send him some cash.

I have his name and address, but I'm wondering the best way to send it.

Just tuck some US currency in an envelope? Travellors check?

I considered a Visa gift card, but the ones I find are only valid in the US.

Thanks

After spending two days with him I'm confident he doesn't use a computer or phone.

He has a ham rig, but this is to far for that.

I can send him mail but I doubt he goes to town more than once a month.

USPS International money order by mail.
Make sure it is an International MO, a regular MO can not be cashed in Canada.

After that it's Paypal, wire transfer or Western Union.
In Canada you can also do Interact just like paypal, but I'm sure that's only in Canada.

Not putting miles on your car is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.

International Bank Draft by mail. I did the reverse a few time. Definitely no cash in the mail.

Where you out in his neck of the wood?

That is pretty far up.

If he got a Porsche, a PP gift certificate would be good.

No Porsche, he travels by boat. We take an annual fishing trip into that country - nobody bothers you up there.
International money order is a great idea - I need to go to the post office anyway.

Thanks

Not much point in sending him tackle - he does most of his fishing with nets.
