Christopher Lee... if only half of this is true...

...he was indeed a true badass.

Warning - strong language. (Mods, if you believe this is too offensive, please wipe the thread.)

Badass of the Week: Christopher Lee

My apologies to anyone who was offended.

I have to admire the man and his service in WW2 and his acting.

Was the story was written by a 12 year old boy? I am not against rude language and when I am in the right group I can use some expletives but the profanity in that piece just makes it sound stupid. There is a place for profanity but that was excessive.

Like his acting, but that singing is probably worse than William Shatner.

I agree with you, Glen......much unnecessary foul language distracted from the subject.

Wiki has a fairly thorough summary of Sir Lee's military service. He led a very impressive life indeed. We lost a great man.....RIP.

Too much foul language? Lighten up Francis, it was for comic effect, I thoroughly enjoyed that.

Everyone has a different take on what's "funny" though Tob.

For example...I never thought those comedians who made fun of other people were funny......but some people love that stuff.

Slapstick comedy is also not funny to me - seems like a lot of special effects but no intelligence.

Regards,
Francis

Unfortunately, it's the only way to get a small part of our populous interested in history.

I once had an 8th grade english teacher, who had to teach Chaucer to a bunch of pubescent boys busy squirming around in their classroom seats.
He pointed out all the naughty bits and innuendos.
All eyes were fixated forward with zeal.
That class rocked.

Just do a Wikipedia search...seems not to be true.
