Not a whole lot of politics or religion. The backstory is that John Oliver had a couple of stories on the FIFA scandal (including him drinking a Bud Light Lime to pay off a bet), and Jack Warner announced he was buying time on the Trinidad TV network to talk about his innocence (or lack thereof) and the documents that he had that implicated others. He titled his TV segment "the gloves are off." Oliver, who believes Warner is a criminal (like the rest of the FIFA senior management), decided to buy 5 min of TV time to counter Warner with his segment, "the mittens are on." Then Warner released the youtube rant in the original post. Where he evidently used the music without obtaining rights (so claimed by a commenter), and is just generally insane. So you have an international official/criminal getting his buttons pushed by a TV comedian, and as usual, ends up looking even worse.
Hence, truth stranger than fiction...
