Steve McQueen's 70S

The provenance is there but I'm blown away by this. Long time ago by now.

There are many people with just too much money. It is a neat car and once owned by a cool man but still, just crazy money. For many people a million is just one day of earnings or just a few minutes or earnings.

My God......

peanuts to a big dog.

I remember reading about it when it sold in 2011, so this isn't new news (i.e., the link is to a 2011 report). Crazy $, in my opinion...but someone obviously thought differently.

I believe Chad McQueen owns a similar car (same color, I think) that McQueen owned & drove in the U.S. As I recall, the car in the auction was one he only used in Europe when they were filming LeMans. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm mistaken.

I imagine his Turbo will bring some big $$$ as well.

Chad had his dad's '69 slate grey 911S, (which was actually his personal car), for many years but I think that one has been sold as well. I can't remember 100% for sure, though.
