Porsche Crest New England Trip PLanning

Hey Everyone,
I am doing a trip with a friend and we will be traveling in our 911s next month. I am leaving from the Albany area in NY. I know I will swing over to Bennington VT for breakfast at the Blue Benn Diner. The I want to make my way up to the kancamagus highway in NH. We are staying near Mt Washington. The next day we are hoping to go up Mt Washington and then head over to Boothbay Harbor Maine. I am looking for road suggestions between Bennington and the kancamagus highway. I am also looking for suggestions for day to from Mt Washington to Maine.

My recommendation would be to take 100 all the way up to 302 east to Mt Wash. Plenty of small towns along the way and it will keep you off 89, 91 etc. sorry can't be much help into ME. Sounds like a great trip! Enjoy

Western Maine: Pick any road with the word "Notch" in its name.

So many great roads so little time

From Bennington take 7 up to one of the routes over the mountains to get you to 100.. 73, 125, 17 (EEK) Lots of options, lots of beautiful great roads for driving..

Best way from the Mt. Washington valley to Maine, is to go from Conway (forget the route #'s as it's been a while) to Kennebunkport. It's only about 1.75 hrs, and you'll cover some nice driver roads with great scenery. From Kennebunkport, head up Rt. 1 along the coast to Boothbay.

Stop at Hemmings HQ in Bennington. There is a fun toll road up Mt. Equinox which is used for competitive hill climbs. Good view from the top and fun switchbacks. No cops as it's a private road. I think it's about 30 minutes north of Bennington. You can stop in Manchester VT and then cut across to NH. Sorry, I do not remember specific road numbers. Sounds fun!

I have a house in Lincoln NH right off the kancamagus and one way I like to go is through the town of Warren NH and then over Mt Moosilauke on rt 118. Warren has a cool trout hatchery and a redstone rocket. As a kid I lived at redstone arsenal in Huntsville so I always get a kick out of seeing the rocket when I pass through town.

Take 7a north from Bennington to Manchester then Rt11 to Rt 100 north, 107 to 14, 132 to Rt 5north. In Fairlee, VT. cross the bridge into N.H. and take 25a to the end and go left on 25 to Warren. Go right on 118 then right on 112 to Lincoln.
