Would also love to see Willy.
Saw Alvin Lee where he was doing his "Ten years later" tour.
Saw "the Wall" first time around in L.A., it was cool but far from my favorite PF album.

My favorite have been catching local musicians in a bar.
We followed a guy "Randy Rich and the Ravens" badazz blues band, we would drive out to Thousand Oaks, get a room at the Best Western across the street from the bar/restaurant where they played, have dinner and sit thought all three sets, shut down the bar, then stumble back to out rooms.

Oh yeah, I was at a party and some guys were going out to the Whiskey to catch a new band so I jumped in the car... saw "Tom Perry and the Heartbreakers"... I hear they are doing OK.

I think I'm done.

Frank Sinatra in 1994.
Michael Jackson in 2001.

Ok maybe Aerosmith one of these days...

Lou Rawls, Liza Minnelli... Vegas baby!

Lou Rawls maybe. Haven't really been exposed to Liza Minelli enough to want to see her live.

Not my style but the gal has pipes!
If you haven't seen her I think that ship has past, probably Mr. Rawls too.
Also saw the Smothers Brother's in Vegas and Beatlemaina too... the free flowing alcohol of old Vegas made my musical taste pretty liberal... ;)

I saw him that long ago? Come to think of it my Vegas party days were over a decade ago.

But Elvis is still playing Vegas right? :D

Don't feel bad. A few years ago, a Barry White song came on the radio and I said "I wouldn't mind seing Barry White in concert". My friend said "Well, that would be pretty tough since he's been dead a long time!" SmileWavy

First, Tommy Emmanuel. Possibly the best show I've ever seen. Just one guy and a guitar. But the sheer joy that he brings to the room is palpable. And he does make a joyful racket

Based on your recommendation, I went and saw him last night in Annapolis.

All I can say is thank you.

I also fear many of my bucket list bands have gone to the great beyond, SRV for instance...

I saw SRV with Double Trouble in the early 80's in some dive bar on lower Greenville Ave in Dallas. I didn't even know who he was when we stumbled in the bar and paid what was probably a 2 dollar cover. There couldn't have been more than 40 people there..

It wasn't till a few years later that I really understood how lucky we were that night..

I have been trying to step-up and cross off a few that I had been putting off, so recently covered:

AC/DC
Steve Winwood
Joe Walsh (solo)
The Eagles
The Moody Blues
and DLR/Van Halen (twice)--and I will continue to go every time the opportunity arises.

Did get to the Rush concert on Jul 31- SOOOO glad I did! My first Rush concert, and looks likely to be the last as well. I sure missed out over the years!

Saw Leon Russell at the Meyer Theater in Green Bay a month ago.
Leon was on his game...sounded great.
And only $25........

The whole concert thing has to be a West coast thing, I've been to concerts (big names) and had enjoyable time(s) but the idea that anything like that would be on my bucket list isn't fathomable.

Glad you liked it. Guys like him come along once or maybe twice in a lifetime. Not a bit of pretension in him.

Hayabusa 11-13-2015 10:03 PM

For me, this show was the first of many, many great concerts to come. Not a bad line-up, eh? $7.00
