talking about aging well, how bout' her

I used to run around the house singing dumb songs hoping it will stick in my wife's head to drive her nuts. This was one of those song I remembered as a little kid. Debbie Boone was all over TV and I was in love with her looks and everything else. My first movie star crush. Hey man, I was 9. My wife sent me this today. She aged well and hot still if you ask me. I can't tell you what she look like up close, but damn, what a babe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJNkZ8ofuHU

No idea who she is, but she looks stellar for her age.

I think it was 1977, Debbie Boone, You Light Up My Life. You must be a whippersnapper?

Pat's kid.

She's 58 and does looks good, I agree.

Cool post. Music carries the soul, that's for sure.

Give your wife my best regards!

Agree with the looks/aging.

Some people simply never seem to age as much as most of us--it's genetic. In her case, her dad always looked decades younger than he really was as did, of course, Dick Clark. Some got it, most of us don't.

She was a one hit wonder but everyone remembers it and her. The radio used to play that song ALL THE TIME. Plus it was all over TV back then. She was cute, clean and sweet. No wonder she never had another hit.

i have seen her before. know the music somewhat.

she looks fantastic. she must have been even more stunning in her youth..

Her Daddy is 81. He was the subject of an article on Sunday Morning this week. Except for his eyes, he could pass for mid 50's.

Is she still a virgin like her Dadz (shut up Sid) used to brag about?

aigel 06-25-2015 11:15 PM

That is not just genetic. Look at the upper arms. There is some serious strength training (I am betting on pilates) going on. The music is absolutely NOT my cup of tea, neither is the square setting / dress etc. in the concert, but more power yoga / pilates power to the lady!

How many times do you think she has sung that song?

Interesting comment in the video link:

Listen to the original version by Kasey Cisyk, the version which appeared in the eponymous movie: it's exceptional. Kasey's name was not mentioned in the movie credits, so she successfully sued the producer for it. But then the producer re-recorded the song with Debbie Boone so everybody thinks that Debbie is the original singer - but she is indeed not. Search Kasey Cisyk on YouTube and Wikipedia: it's a surprising story of an extremely talented singer who should deserve to reach legend-status.

My pre-teen crush was and still is Sally Field... she is/was irresistibly cute (to me) AND a very talented actor.

Good topic, though not necessarily about the lovely Debbie B..

I'm guessing most of here on this forum are mid to upper aged men, so looking back on our generation and the hotties gal's while in the 20 y.o. range. The physical shape was rather healthy, no body mutilation and even casual fashion wear wasn't too bad.

Today when I see the 'majority' of young women, they are ugly looking. Sorry but the piercings, tats look trashy and gross. Yet, giving them the benefit and I'm wrong, lets move forward to attire and fashions. GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKED OUT UGLY or FAT GUTS, BUTTOCKS NASTY GROSS!

Please cover up! And the fat chicks thinking they yoga pants are so hot looking on them. PLEASE NO MORE! I see BIG FAT ASS young girls with low pants, two + inches of their crack and thong on display, and its just grosses me out.

Then lets talk about the skinny chicks. They'll wear these UGLY sweatpants, falling off their waistline and I may be assuming but it looks like they live in them. Yuk.

If you want circus freak show entertainment today, the beaches are the place. LOL

Wow, what a great song. Had no idea who she is. She looks a lot like my escrow officer for the past 15 years, a nice lady named Bernadette.

don't know, lots? Tell you this much, I used to hear it more then 10 times daily from the older kids with their little boom boxes hanging out playing tag or baseball at our little park at the end of the street. Total chick song was all I remembered.
