My house has turned into a youth hostel!....HELP!
My problem is that I think I'm waaaaaaaay too easy going!
Here's the issue: My 19 year old son has quite a few friends and now also has a GF. His friends, I must say, are all pretty good kids. Their parents I'm told for the most part are all fairly strict however. His GF is a very sweet and intelligent young lady. Sadly her parents are currently undergoing separation and so there is much turmoil at her home. My wife and I have often been told by my son and his GF and his friends that we are the most easy going parents of all. When they're over they are welcome to grab something out of the fridge or pantry if they're hungry. Hell my wife often offers to cook them up some hot dogs or popcorn on many occasions. So you see where this is going! While we enjoy having them around and such, it has now gotten out of hand! They are now ALWAYS over at our place! IT IS TOTALLY KILLING OUR SEX LIFE!!!:(:(:( Saturday night is really the only time that my wife and I can "get it on" and the occasion has not presented itself lately due to our youth hostel like atmosphere at home. We are both in good health and exercise regularly. We are both quite sexually active....WITH EACH OTHER! Without turning into a mean old ogre, how do I politely turn all of them away and put up the "CLOSED MOST SATURDAYS 9PM - 12AM" sign? The situation is now URGENT as I'm waiting patiently for my "55th birthday present"!:p |
Its your house. Kick them out. What's wrong with you?

They are all having sex at that age anyway...... what the hell do you care if they hear you. In fact get real vocal during your b-day present and you might scare some of them away as well.
|
Orgy, problem solved, you're welcome.
|
Just advise them you two are going to be doing the horizontal mambo for a few hours.
The kids will be so grossed out with the idea of old timers having sex they will steer clear. :D Best Les |

I'll take some HD video of the event and ask them the next time they're over: "Wanna see? I've got it on video on my Iphone here!" |

Tell him you love him, like his friends, and enjoy having them around, but from now on Saturday night is Mom and Dad have a Quiet Time at Home night. It's not at all unreasonable. Tell him to go do something safe and legal and be home by midnight.

FFS...you're an example of parents who can't set boundaries and don't know how to say "NO".
|
IF you are your kids "best friend" and not their best advocate, you have the roles you are supposed to be doing on the wrong feet.!!
Take controll. Yes you now will be threatened with mutiny . They will come back and respect you........I am sure that is lacking now. |

Enjoy the noise while you can.
My son just moved out and now the house is very quiet, spooky quiet. I miss my son and all his friends coming over. As for the sex thing... close the bedroom door and go for it. If they don't like hearing you, they'll leave. |
