63 degrees and no humidity
The Los Angeles area may suck sometimes due to taxes, high cost of living, etc. But its mid-July and cool and dry outside at 10:00 PM. I'll leave the outside bedroom slider open tonight. I live in one of the ten safest cities in the USA, north of Los Angeles itself.

I envy you, you dog. So humid all the windows are steamed up. the temps outside are 65,but the humidity is high.
|
That's how it is here for about 8 months out of the year... We live in one of the 10 safest cities too, but it costs at least half what it would there. ;)
|
75 here this evening but it will cool off more. The part I like the most is you can leave the doors or windows open with no screens, NO BUGS.
|
Let's bump this thread in a month when the mudslides start. ;)

No humidity is very nice. I enjoyed it for 2 years in New Mexico. The only downside of it is draught and wild fires. And the effect on your skin.
|
It's 72 degrees right now with a dew point of 70. Supposed to be 94 today. Pic of my office window:

The dew point in Charleston has been about 80 degrees lately. Bad times... I venture out into the garage in the 7:00 hour but not earlier.

Last night while working out in the barn, it was so humid and slightly misting/drizzling, that it was absolutely perfectly quiet. I could hear my chickens clucking 200 feet away from me as they scoured the ground for bugs......kinda like when it snows and all the sounds are muted.

5:40 AM here in Scottsdale, AZ...just let the dog out & looked at the temp...72'.
I came in and turned on the Whole House fan to suck in the cool air. Been 105 - 110 lately in the afternoons here...no humidity...even though this is Monsoon season here. We suffer at this time of year so that we can enjoy the Paradise of the AZ winters. . ~~~~~~~~~~ . This is unreal!!! . http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1436526072.jpg[/QUOTE] |
This spring and summer has been the driest in fifty years. Yesterday it was 34C or 90F and humidity around 50%. The inverse of our winter which starts with snow in November and does not go away unitl April. There are many forest fires west of here in BC and east of here in Saskatchewan. Hardly have cut the grass this year and the weeds are slowed right up. We have nothing to complain about compared to Palm Springs and Phoenix.

Yeah, freaky weather. 80* and looked like it was going to rain yesterday, in July, WTF?
|
We are 20 inches above the normal yearly rainfall. If it did not rain for the rest of the year we would still be 20 inches above normal for the year. I hope it rains a normal amount for the rest of the year. It was a high of 71 yesterday in July in OKC. We are supposed to have a week of sunshine next week.

I was in Vegas about 2 weeks ago, and took this when my wife asked how bad the heat was.
101....at midnight. Don't worry though, it went all the way down to 91 by 5am:eek: I'm sure there are reasons people want to live in Las Vegas in the summer...just can't think of any. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1436536957.jpg |
Driest and warmest in Portland in 100 years.
We could use a little of that midwest rain, fo-sho. |

We just went through the snowiest and coldest Winter on record, and about May it started raining almost non-stop, I don't believe that we have had more than 2 days in a row without heavy rain. If it isn't raining (2,25" of rain yesterday) , it's overcast and humid.....so far, we are on track to be going through the wettest and coolest Summer on record. I just hope the weather gets to be normal by the time football season rolls around under the "Friday night lights".

Here, it goes from 110°F to colder than a witch,'s titty. And I think we lead the state in per capita vehicle thefts.
|
Gorgeous day here. I hate to return to the East Coast.
