Hi,

It’s time to get out that sports car, Hot rod or Classic that you’re passionate about, and join us for the third Karz ’n Koffee in downtown Morrison, on Saturday July 18th from 9:00-11:00am. This low-key casual car show is held every third Saturday of the month, in the parking lot across the street from Morrison Joe (formally Al’s coffee) at the intersection of Stone St. and Bear Creek Ave.

This is a free event (Koffee not included), and the first 40 participants will receive cool ‘goody bags.’ Our first event in May was somewhat hampered by the poor weather all week, but the June event was a big success with over 58 cars attending over the two hours (everything from a Citroen 2CV to a McLaren MP4-12C and a few Ferraris for good measure). With good weather on the schedule we are hoping for something near to 100 cars for the July gathering, so do tell all your friends about the event.

Our goal is to meet new friends, have fun and spread the word about the Non-Profit we are supporting, Auto-Archives. This 501c3 organization is dedicated to the collection, preservation and someday, construction of a library of historic automotive and motor racing research materials. So if you have automobile or racing memorabilia, programs, photographs, posters, books or vintage magazines, please throw them in the trunk and bring them along. If not, come anyway. Remember, any donation is tax deductible, and Auto-Archives are happy to provide an official donation letter if you need it.

Big thanks must go to our friends at Sports Car Market and Victory Lane for the magazines they gave us at the first two events, they were a big hit. The free magazine for July will be ‘Classic Motorsports, this time through a mail in postcard rather than a 'hard copy'. It is a genuine free offer though, no sign up nonsense!

Please remember our WARNING: Morrison derives more than fifty percent of its revenue from speeding tickets. Please take notice and obey the speed limits entering and leaving town. That includes Hwy 285, and C470. Nothing worse than a fun, free event costing you $110 in fines! With that out of the way, Morrison has great restaurants, shops and Historic sites. We will include a map of the ‘Lariat Loop’ a National Scenic by-way which features Golden, Evergreen and of course Morrison, in the goody bags. Bring a lawn chair, hang out and meet some new people, or feel free to walk around town for Koffee, ice cream or unique gift items. You’re welcome to leave the car in the lot after 11:00am, but must be out by 4pm. No need to RSVP, just show up and have a fun relaxing Saturday with us. There’s also a fantastic place for that great photo shoot of your car just up the hill in beautiful Red Rocks Park. Head up towards the Visitors’ Center and it’s just before you go through the rock tunnel, on your right. No fee to enter the park, so drop your top and enjoy.
