Mac Book pro replacement battery

Does Apple still carry replacement batteries in the store? I just tried to find the battery on the Apple website and can't find any replacement batteries. All they talk about is installed batteries. I need a 2007 MBP 15" battery and while I've gotten a battery before from non Apple supplier, it didn't fit well and wouldn't hold a charge after a while. Didn't even last a year.

If Apple doesn't sell the replacement battery where is the most reliable place to order a good Apple battery??

I would go to the Apple store and have them order it if not in stock.

I would seriously, seriously never buy a non-Apple battery. It's just not worth it.

They are installed because most people do not have the tools to replace it. Behold the so called "evil tri-wing screwdriver."

I didn't know there was a 17" Mac Pro. Maybe it's the 20" model?

I found a kit that has it at Home Depot. $10. I replaced my hard drive.

Interested in that 17' battery.

I've got a few of those boxes that I use for various media boxes.

Haha ^^

Anyone play with the 6 plus? So big it slips out of hands, pockets. If only they made it a tad bit bigger...

I'm fairly certain that before you can order one of those you need to order a blue t-shirt that reads Genius Bar.

They want to send my MBP out to who knows where and have it "checked"- which invariably means a $400 charge.

I don't like the new Apple- I just took a crapshoot on an ebay battery for $40...

Just ordered one from OWC, a little more than that but I've gone the cheap route and it didn't end well. One year warranty.

Thanks for all the comments.
