Seattleits: commuting advice
I'm heading to Mt. Vernon, Wa for a wedding and will be staying at a cottage on Whidbey Island during my stay. Since I have some time to kill Friday, I was hoping to see some relatives in Seattle before heading to Mukilteo to catch the ferry later that evening.
Online it appears that there is a train I can take later in the evening but I'm getting conflicting information on how long it takes (some say 45 min/some say 1.5 hours). Another option (which gives me ultimate flexibility schedule wise) is to pony up for a taxi. What form of transport would you take if you had to get from the city to Mukilteo? Thanks in advance. |
A taxi would be crazy expensive. Uber?

UBER is a better option than a taxi. But still pricey on a long trip.

Rental car.
How are you getting from Whidbey Is to Mt Vernon? |

Looks like my options are: taxi at around $100/Uber a little cheaper or the rail (Sounder), but it closes in the early evening. Thanks guys... |

At a c note for uber you can get a rental, and have money left over.
