So CA, restaurants....how many have you been too?

32

Let's count. 1.2 gazillion. I've been to 3. I've got some making up to do. I have been to Musso and Franks, outstanding food.
|
22 that I can remember, possibly a few more over the years but didn't recognize the name. That's a great list to hit while on the other side of town in need of a meal, bookmarked.
I can report that Tuxies Riverside, once a classic drive-up burger joint and car cruising hangout was bought out a few years ago and now sells fairly pedestrian Mexican food. I can't recommend it except for the vintage sign. Sire's is still hopping and the food is good. |
Holy cow, I eat out to often 47
|
We printed the list out with intentions of hitting some.
Don't remember now but think I have only been to a dozen or so. Philippe is great and need to get by there with my wife who hasn't been. Tony's on the pier is great, the Mai Tai's are legendary, the views are great, the seafood is just okay. I have to laugh at Walkers Café, I literally can and do walk down to the park where it is located... other than being uber cool location and lots of history not whole lot going on there (and this is my home town I'm talking about here) also be aware on the weekend you may bump into some unsavory bikers... and if you try to get in to Walkers on a Sunday afternoon when the live/free music in the park concerts are going on be prepared to walk a few block because the park is packed. |
Thanks for the link, Joe Bob. I'm looking forward to checking out some of these places.

I would have to say, in the hundreds by now. My response is tongue in cheek because people in L.A. always seem to use 'Southern California' when they really just mean, 'The greater L.A. area'. |
55 - Hey, I've lived in L.A. for more than 65 years.
|
58. Boy, that Eastside market brings back so many memories. It was a long walk from our houses but we managed to get there during the summer in Jr high school. I was just talking to aan old friend that lived across the street from us about it last week over lunch how it was just a little Italian Market.

Sweet list! Hinano is my favorite, maybe the coldest beer in all of LA.
