Rest in Peace? I Guess Not (Fangio)

THE body of motor racing legend Juan Manuel Fangio has been exhumed after two men claimed he was their father.

A judge ruled that DNA could be taken from the five-time F1 world champion to settle the claims 20 years after his death.

Two men have brought separate cases claiming Argentine Fangio was their father and seeking a piece of the estate he left to a foundation and museum bearing his name.

Yeah...sorta where I am too. I don't know the whole back story, if there is one, but wasn't there a less invasive way to handle this?

Seems like there's a difference between being exhumed and removed from the family vault. Not that Fangio would notice either way.

It's about $$$ so I'm not surprised but after all these years how much could his estate be worth anyway?

You have to admit, that "son" looks a lot like the old Fangio. At least there is nothing in his facial features that looks "off" from the alleged old man.

I am always freaked out by these family tombs. What a way to be stored in a wooden box, for centuries. They pull that out 20 years later and it looks brand new on the outside. Yikes!

Woulda been strange if it were empty!!! Geraldo Rivera shoulda been there for the "unboxing"!

Pelican brothers and sisters, I apologize for this, but I can't help by be reminded of an old Sam Kinison routine from "Breaking All The Rules". Let's hope poor Fangio's body has constant security while this unfolds:

EDIT: decided to take the embedded link down before the mods chase me outa here! You can search for it on Youtube: Sam Kinison "Breaking All The Rules": Effing the Dead
