Hey Guys! Meet Dice!

My wife and I have been talking about it for a while, and last week some good friends of ours had a rescue that they thought would be a good fit.

This is "Dice" a 1 year old Border Collie. She was born to a breeder that was going to put her down because she wasn't a good working dog.

They trained her with a shock collar (roughly I think) and she is very submissive, but wants nothing in the world but to be loved. My girls are giving her all she can take and she is very well behaved. She's "lazy" for the breed (a good thing I think) and is very responsive to commands and praise.

Yes, haven't had the 84 Targa for years now and decided to start my retirement plan early.

Good looking family and a very happy dog.

Excellent choice, our Border Collie has a very similar story, we got her from a rescue shelter. Poor baby had also been abused and we are pretty sure the bastard was a tall, heavy set man with a beard, as she totally flips out when anyone like that comes to the property. Other than that she is a sweetheart.

By the way, invest in balls and a Chuckit, Border Collies need a lot of exercise.

Here is my boy with Phineous a couple years ago.

Not putting miles on your car is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.

Congrats Ledhed and thanks for the post.....the wonderful pics.....but most of all for saving the life of that awesome little girl!

"Dice" is a great name for her!

She really hit the mother lode with all the lovin's she's getting (and will get)! As did you and yours.

Best to you - and please give Dice a belly rub from me and the girls!

Great photos! Dice is a lucky dog - kids to play with! She'll keep them busy. I'm glad she chose you.
