pickled peppers
![]() I harvested some peppers from my garden this morning and they were so pretty I took a picture of them. There's enough capsaicin in that bowl to strip the paint of your car. I'm not a fan of hot food, so I don't know what to do with all these peppers.

We have a bumper crop as well. Not sure if you like Indian food but you can make home made Indian pickle out of them.

Pickle them with hard boiled eggs...
Mexican food is always another option?

I give them to my co-worker who is of Mexican descent, they love them. Pickling takes a lot of bite out of them.

I see some Habaneros in there. I love hot food, but regret eating it a day later.
I have no idea what to do with those. |

Use them to accent other pickled products. A pepper or 2 dropped into a jar of okra, string beans or Persian cucumbers takes it up a notch. For example, here's a recipe I use for Jamaican jerk Pickles....

You could always get a couple gallons of vodka and infuse them.

I usually cut them length wise and let them dry out, grind them up in a coffee grinder and put them in a container similar to one you would find at an Italian restaurant, sprinkle them on just about everything you need spiced up.
Just make sure you mark the container with a skull and crossbones |

You don't like spicy food, but I'd use half of a habanero in a peach salsa/compote for grilled tuna. If you use a fair amount of brown sugar, it tones the heat down and the habanero and peach flavors marry well together.

I like to finish off a big jar of dill pickles, quarter a couple hot peppers and crush a little extra garlic into it. Then I boil up some eggs and peel them. I put them in the jar and forget about them in the fridge for a couple three weeks. Delish!!!

I always make a sweet hot pickle. Plenty of pickling cukes, sliced, spears or whatever you prefer...with plenty of hot peppers in a sweet dill liquid. Of course there are some onions in there as well. Dang good eating !

That sounds amazing!! My cucumbers are done for the year, but I'm going to try that next year.
