New Spoon for me
Been waiting 10 months for delivery of a KEL TEC Sub 2000 and the gun store got them today. Driving to pick it up in the morning and then go shoot it on the way home.
The reason for the delay is these meet Canadian laws for length. ![]()

I didn't realize you folks could have guns.
![]() Nice. I once lusted for the Kel Tec bull pup shotgun. But everybody wanted one and it was never in stock. |

This is the one that folds to fit into a briefcase. You have to unfold to point the barrel the other way.

This is a first generation picture. They have made some improvements on this but it gives you a idea how it folds.
The one your thinking of that folds into a briefcase was a prototype from Magpul FMG-9. It was a submachine gun. Didn't come into production. The Kel Tec is a semi auto. ![]()

The fmg9 was much smaller than a briefcase. It was intended to be small enough to kinda fit in back pockets

So how did it shoot? Reliable? Accurate?

Unfortunately others determined my time was more valuable to them today (I had to work) and didn't pick it up. Looks like it will be Monday before I can get it. It's a 5 hr drive away.

They frown on that up here. A couple years ago two associates of a international motor cycle club were driving across Canada and were stopped for shooting at road signs. The problem was they had $275,000 worth of someone else's money in the car which was confiscated as proceeds of crime. The rumor was someone wasn't very happy with them.

BTW, nice pickup. The Sub2k is, in my eyes, the best kel-tec product out there.

I shot the SU16 at a gun range (neighboring range offered!) and was not impressed. Felt like a toy gun - poor trigger - so much plastic. I hope their polymers are getting better. This will be a cool toy and hiking weapon for you at any rate! Have fun with it!
