anyone know, used, or put their home (second?) home for vacation rental?

I have looked and they seem to booked most of the month here in Socal. That would be the way I like to go when I travel overseas or to another state. anyone put up their house for this type of rental?

NFW ... you get unknown tenants on a $300 deposit? What if they wreck your place, with all thats in it?

I had my main residence open for a few months and was thinking about it. The more I read, the more I got scared. Maybe you are more brave than me, but I took the hit and didn't rent it out.Condition was exactly as I expected it when moving in.

Cheers,

G

How about Airbnb?

There was a home in Calgary that was completely trashed and Airbnb's insurance covered the damages.

SFbay ... I returned to an existing home up here. Unfortunately the tenants left before I was ready to move.
