Give us your input on our shipping time/costs!

We are always trying to improve your customer experience and would love to get your thoughts on this.

Would you rather have a product ship immediately for a higher cost or wait 4-5 days to ship for a lower cost? Which is more important to you? The cost difference is 10% to 20%. So, it’s pay 10-20% more to ship immediately, or save 10-20% but wait 4 to 5 days before the product ships. Actual ship time would be the same, this is just a matter of when the product first gets out the door.

The way things are set up, it has to be one or the other and we are trying to decide which is most important to you. So chime in and let us know your preference!

*Please complete the poll above*

Couldn't you just make the 4-5 day S&H time your standard and let the buyer option up for expedited at checkout?

That's not my main issue... The thing that bugs me is stuff shipping from different warehouses, and getting hit with 2 shipping fees...

Free stuff for PPOT users.

It would be nice to have a choice. Sometimes I need a part yesterday. Having a FedEx option is good. Most the time, I plan ahead. It would be nice to have the lowest shipping cost possible, and if that means it takes two weeks to get here, that's OK.

Please please please do not create a 4-5 day delay for shipping! To me 10%-20% premium is well worth immediate turnaround!

My last few orders to New York was just about 6 days, Order on Friday, ship on Friday and got delivered the following Friday.

Add a 4-5 delay and I probably order closer.

What is the real root of the problem? You don't have the man/women power to ship everything the same day and you will use the week-end to catchup or you hope that enough people pick the ship now higher price to effectively lower your lost on the Free Shipping?

I agree with JJ. Ship it the day its ordered or the next business day.

I ordered a fuel pressure regulator. Got here quickly, but the box it was in was like 3x bigger than it needed to be. Seems it would be cheaper to ship in a smaller box.

Well, I know for certain that if you place your order before 3pm PST and parts are in stock they will go out that same day. Also note that parts that ship from multiple warehouses DO NOT incur additional shipping cost. its the same if its from one or 2 places. The delays are usually, for example, if you select a part that needs to be ordered from BMW or Porsche, then there is a wait, because it needs to come to warehouse first, then ship to you.

I'm not sure about that... If the stuff from warehouse #2 is light and could have easily been dumped into box from warehouse#1, it would have come free. now it's coming under a separate shipping charge. Pretty sure I've seen that in the past. Maybe I'm wrong but it wouldn't have bothered me unless I saw 2 shipping charges.

just did an order....$100.00.......3 parts from ware house #1.....2 small from #2....total for Shipping $9.99......regardless if from one or two places. of course assuming the whole order is shipping within the US and not out of country.

while you are buying, the screen indicates: This part ships immediately, or something like that. then when you purchase, the system tells you worse, like 2-3 days to ship. Then, it actually ships the next day....grrrrrr Get it together. When i order on Amazon, it tells me what day i will receive my order, while i am still buying...
The world is changing....
