Disagree with thumbs forward though. Mechanically thumbs up locks the wrist much better than forward... Forward is for small j-frames only. Try it. Make a "thumbs up" which will lock your thumb vertically. Now rock your wrist forward and back. Now do it with your thumb down. See the difference?
