First charity ride, for prostate cancer

Hi everyone, this September I am participating in the Distinguished Gentleman's ride to raise awareness for prostate cancer research.

I've had friends and relatives fight and win against prostate cancer, lets let everyone win.

Please follow the link below for information on sponsoring my ride.

Thanks!

John Helgesen - The 2015 Distinguished Gentlemans Ride

Just don't park your car in a public space for the whole day and not buy anything.

It's for motorcycles.

I'd love to join you John, but I'd have to change my tires, and see a chiropractor for that trip. The Raleigh-Durham ride is doable though...

Or, maybe I could buy ANOTHER bike and ride Charlotte...

So- you are as for donations?
Most the time you throw in a mandated amount and go do the potato - potato thing @ 45 MPH for about a 100 miles .
Everyone wears their "biker' costume .
Stop at a few bars.
No one talks any technical stuff anymore.....(at the bar stops)

I'd really love to, but I'm not gonna pretend that work will let me go for long enough to enjoy a trip south for a long weekend. Annette decided that she wants to close shop for Labor Day so she can have some time with her husband and kids. After that, we'll usually have more biz than we can do until October when the State Fair comes to town.

Pop a wheelie for me!

Set the bar low, shooting for $100 total, but under commit, over deliver is always good.

The ride is a pretty good loop around town with a gathering late in the afternoon.

The vintage/cafe crowd around here is pretty good for technical/historical discussions.

Donations can be made on the website via my link. $2 and up .

More importantly is the talk of Prostate cancer. My father got it, my best friend got it, both had sucsessful treatment.

I could get it, so can lots of us.

Then don't lane split or rev your straight pipes in town.

Off to a good start with about two weeks to go. Even have a few pelicans on the list.

Thank you for your support.
