Haggerty
Looked up my cars yesterday, what is going on with the prices of 911 Porsche. Not sure any one would give me the price they say my car is worth. Are they inflating the price for higher premiums?

Old German cars are in demand right now. I've upped the coverage on my 55' 190 SL twice in the last year. Premium barely budged when compared to increase in value. |
They are claiming that the cheapest 1987 930 should be worth $124000. Their numbers are absolute nonsense.

Haggerty appears to be 2X market value at least on my 69.
They do say it is worth $180,000 if it was a #1 car. :) |
Hagerty's valuation for my '88 BMW M5 is getting crazy too. I think my car is somewhere between Condition 1 and Condition 2 but I doubt if I could sell it for what they say it's worth.

Kind of interesting that longhoods appear to have leveled off.
I don't think you can take the values seriously for every single year and model... In some cases there can't possibly be enough cars changing hands to get a good sample size. |
Hagerty's numbers are probably right, or close, some might say under market values... What's incorrect is people's perception of what a #1 condition is. Or #2. There are a lot more 3-4 cars out there than #1 ;-)

Its just the market..... Hell my 944 is close to 10k, and my bug close 8k! Crazy stuff... I thought I just had a bunch of cheap old german iron... ;)
