Is This a Pot Plant????

Is this pot??? It's been 30 years, but I don't remember it looking like this. Does it come in purple now? Is smells like a dead animal.

So today I go into a shed I haven't been in in years. I needed small diameter hose to syphon some race fuel and the avocado irrigation line is perfect. I lift a tarp and look what I found! My 60 year-old avocado keeper-gardener has been in Mexico for a few months and his 21 year-old son is filling in. Looks like he's been doing more than maintaining the orchard.

I was mad as hell at first and was going to trash em, but I've calmed down. I am not going to call the cops (they'll just take it and give it to their friends). His dad will be back soon and I'm not firing him. I think I'll hide it when the son comes tomorrow just to make him sweat. Here's my options…give me your thoughts:

Threatening to call the cops and tell him to get it the hell out of here is already a given.

1 Trash the plants and tell his father when he gets back.

2. Let him leave with the weed and a good scare, then tell his father when he gets back.

3. Let him leave with it and a good scare, threaten to tell his father, and let the 21 year-old off the hook without telling. (I was no angel in the 70's).

I'd have a talk with the kid...tell him to remove the plants from your property and never ever do something like that again.

Or you could dispose of them......and still have the talk. He needs to know asap that you found his stash.

You can have a talk with his dad (optional) depending on how remorseful the kid is and depending on how close your relationship with the dad is.

Those are my thoughts.

Baz, this is exactly what I'm going to do. I love his dad and would do anything for him. When I confront the son, if he apologized and acts humble, he can leave with a living plants and a good scolding. I won't tell his dad. If he gives me any s#!t whatsoever, or cops any attitude, I tell the dad and trash the plants.

BTW…there were three…

You gotta admit….it's some weird looking stuff. I put it in the mancave to take the pictures. The whole mancave smells like a ran over a skunk. YUK!

It's legal in CA right? Maybe rent him the shed. Looks like a pretty decent grower.

Wow, pot plants sure have gotten colorful since my lame, unsuccessful attempts to grow them in college.

He is a voting american citizen, owns three house, and employs 7 people...and has been since he was 26. He's probably paying more taxes than you Varmint.

"Purple Haze" weed…LOL! I'm a HUGE Hendrix fan. That's changes the color of the issue. He's obviously "Experienced".

I was going to leave him a nasty note. Then I decided it would instill more panic if he goes in there tomorrow and they're just GONE! Just think, he's been taking them out and putting them in every day for who knows how long. A couple months at least.

This... Get rid of it ASAP.

Meanwhile, IMO the guy should be sacked for bringing illegal drugs onto your property.
Or what would happen if the same stuff was found in a professional work environment? I don't see how your property is any different.

This in Ventura County, CA sc_rufctr. Pot is practically legal, and a HUGE contributor to the local economy. I think three plants IS actually legal if you have your medical MJ card. I'm sure he does. Besides, nothings going to happen between now and 7am tomorrow.

As soon as the son arrives, have him *immediately* remove the plants and the pots from your property. No advance warning. What is the CA law? One plant allowed for personal use? No plants allowed? Do not call the police. LE might not look the other way if there's a house and a Porsche 997 to be confiscated...

edit -- On second thought, get rid of it NOW.
