Fleet Week in San Francisco Oct 9-11. Lodging with reasonable rates?
 

Any suggestion on where to stay in San Francisco during Fleet Week that won't break the bank? We're seeing $400/night prices on AirBnB for the places that are reasonably close. Won't be renting a car, so we'll need something with easy access to public transportation.

I no idea about rates or if you don't mine being across the bay.
However, in Oakland downtown Marriot/Jack London area, I think it's called the plaza hotel is every near Bart (Bay area rapid transit system) and or Ferry across the bay from Jack London.
There are also some hotels in Emeryville from there you may have to Uber , cab or hotel shuttle a short distance to the local Bart station.

Are you going to be around the Fleet Week festivities? We'll be there Friday and Saturday nights. Staying a couple of blocks from the Jack London area. Mostly going so our daughter can see a real air show and tour the Navy ships.

oh..my favorite beer joint is right there. the TRAPPIST.

some great restaurants in Oakland. i think they rival SF restaurants in quality and have infinitely less drama with the reservations.
