Problem uploading photos after IOS update ?
Anyone having problems uploading photos to pelican after the last IOS update? I've never had an issue, but now I get a file extension error for the photo I'm trying to upload from my IPAD. I've tried several including pics I've previously uploaded.
Thanks. MattR |
Yep, me too, pad and phone, same problem

Anyone besides me and Geronimo having this issue? I still can't post pics from my iPad...

I just tried to upload a photo from my iPad Air and got the same photo extension error. I'm using Safari to access Pelican and running iOS 9.1b5.

Has anyone figured out the issue? I can't post from iPad Air 2 or iPhone 6. Worked fine up until last update...

iOS9 changed the naming convention from jpg to jpeg. jpeg is the correct and original file extension but due to the 3 character extension limitation in Windows back in the day it was shortened to jpg. File extensions are associated with file formats, MIME types, it lets a computer know what file it's dealing with. The board has a list of MIME types that it will recognize along with basic guidelines on how to handle / what to do with them. |
I have this issue and SM gave me the same advice in October. I sent Wayne a note, but haven't heard back and the problem still exists.
