What happens when you break a curfew? SC Flood related
 
With the the floods in SC declared an emergency, national guard called in, and a 1800 curfew. I'm Kinda curious if you break curfew what happens to people?
It's obviously in effect to deter looting.

I am not an expert but I was serious with the paddy wagon. The Popo will round you up, put you in jail for the night and you'll go to court for a misdemeanor. That's what I think ...

That's what should happen but often the people enforcing the curfew get a bit carried away.

Idunno, I'll try and find out this evening! :D

I doubt the national guard is here (the immediate Charleston area) anyway, but it wouldn't surprise me if they're around the Columbia area since I heard things were a lot worse there.

Curfew keeps the 99% law-abiding people off the streets so the 1% are easier to locate and deal with.......Which side do you want to be on????

We went to the movies Saturday night and got out at 7PM.

No cops or patrols that I saw.

I wonder how a curfew being in effect is relayed to people?

I don't watch news, don't watch radio, don't have a smart phone, don't have apps, spam won the war with my email, etc...
