Traveling to San Francisco and . . .

. . wondering if there are any Porsche spots to hit while there. Only in town for a day as the trip is really to Yellowstone and then up to Calistoga

Any spots to hit along the way?

We were just there. Alcatraz. Need to book early, and look for a porsche on the way.

Not sure what you mean by "Porsche spots", but Cars Dawydiak, who sells used Porsches in SF, is a good place some nice examples. Also, it may be too far away in the wrong directions, but Canepa in Scotts Valley is amazing. Worth a day trip if tou are so inclined.

For driving or looking at them? You can swing by Sears Point(Infineon) Yellowstone, maybe you mean Yosemite?

Totally agree about Canepa. I've been there twice. The ground floor includes amazing examples of special cars for sale - top notch stuff. The 2nd floor is Bruce's museum, with all sorts of amazing (there's that word again!) cars. And there is a "bridge" that allows you to look down into the shop to see the cars they're working on. Last time I was there I counted 6 959's & 6 300SLs in the shop! Plus a couple for sale in the showroom. Highly recommended.

Not sure what your travel schedule will be, but this Saturday (Oct. 10th) is Canepa Design's last Cars & Coffee of the season. It would be an easy detour if you happen to be on your way south to Yosemite that morning. In addition to an amazing bunch of cars that'll show up for this event (second only to the old Irvine C&C, IMHO), the entire facility will be open to roam freely around the consignment showroom, the museum and the race/restoration shops. This is one of the very best car-related events in the Bay Area.

Pristine, low-mileage, all original '67 911S on the alignment rack at Canepa's C&C last month.

Another great place near SF to see some incredible cars is the Blackhawk Automotive Museum across the Bay in Danville.
