I nailed a squirrel on my bike a few weeks ago....I feel for you man. I went back and he was all flopping and twitching with blood coming out his nose. On my ride back he was being picked apart by vultures. I had to have some beer after that ride.

Riding in back country Oregon, I have nearly hit all kinds of animals - the turkeys are the worst. You have no idea what they will do as you approach them....and there is always alot of them together.

Oregon Outback - Offroad ride from Klamath falls to the Columbia river.

A friend of mine does it, it sounds killer!

I have actually heard people say this is a reason to prefer higher spoke count wheels. Less chance of an animal getting into the spokes. I never thought of the alternative of bladed spokes. Wonder how keen an edge a bladed stainless steel spoke can take.

Hard Drive, didn't your dad hit a deer on his tri bike?. Are you following in his footsteps?
