How about a new Power Wagon?
A little spendy at an opening price of $120k, but apparently there is a market for them.
It has the same cab as my '47 pickup and it is cramped for a 6'2" person. Still, if I had money to burn ... Legacy Power Wagon Vintage Truck | HiConsumption http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1444313035.jpg |
If Singer can sell 911's why not trucks????

There was one built with a new Cummins in it and it had the triple axle configuration.
The one you have pictured with a modern diesel would be awesome. With a decent V8 they would be as well. |
That's allot of coin. I bet you could build it for half that even factoring in a 17k Cummins crate engine.

Those things were 35k just a few years ago. Dang man, anything old is worth lots of money these days?

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1444372393.jpg I just finished a 2 wheel drive 3/4 ton Dodge of that vintage. Parts such as doors and windshield frames are almost always badly rusted. Good ones are very spendy. Power Wagons are typically in worse shape than the 2 wd version. |
You guys talking about cummins engines. The new crate motors are junk. You want a 12v cummins ideally, but a 24v would do nicely too. Less emissions crap, dead nuts simple bullet proof torque monsters.

Unless that truck cost 60 grand by itself. ^^http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/wat5.gif
Even if you use Dana 60 crate axels I don't see where the money is going at. Unless that Cummins is a wild build. |

For 120K you are paying for the privilege of having Legacy do all the work for you.

could have bought this power wagon 2 weeks ago for 3500 and drove it home. pretty sure for another $116,500 I could have it done up pretty nice.. could have had the chica for much less
