Way to rebut an argument that wasn't made. Maybe take some time to read what was written and try and speak to that, instead of some other, imaginary point.

Interesting to note that the states with the most restrictions on guns have the fewest gun deaths per person, although you can cherry pick a few cities that are not aligned with this result. Gun Laws, Deaths and Crimes

But guess what? Nobody's mind is gonna change on a car forum.

I wonder what that list would look like if you factored out suicides. If you look at murders specifically or violent crime involving a firearm, I wonder what the order would be.

Sheer and utter nonsense uttered from someone who believes the NEJM is an "unbiased" source on gun safety and that the CDC never had anything to do with "gun safety" research.

Who? When?

The NRA is over four million gun owners like me. You have quoted the most biased sources extant in the gun rights debate and have had the audacity (born of ignorance) to label them as "unbiased". Your continued assertions and quotations of left wing, gun control proponent propaganda does not make any of it true. It merely exposes you as just another ignorant, low information twit with an agenda.

Once again, you return to the same well - the CDC, who were notoriously defunded by Congress over their anti-gun bias in their "research". Oh, and your source also quotes the most notorious anti-gun lobby in the U.S. today - the Brady Campaign. There are a couple of "unbiased" sources we all should trust.

Least of all yours. You are the very poster child of everything of which you accuse gun rights proponents. You have swallowed the NEJM's, the CDC's, The Brady Campaign's, and god know who else's hard-core left wing anti-gun propaganda as "fact". Talk about "aggressively ignorant" - you stand as the very definition thereof.

Man Shot, Killed by Father After Breaking Into Their Covina-Area Home: Authorities | KTLA

Several years after I had left home to be a man and make my own way in the world I went to eat dinner at my parents house. My dad was recounting a story of seeing someone skulking around in the back yard trying to get into dad's detached garage. He grabbed his pistol and called 911. Dad was way smart enough to know the garage had nothing worth killing someone for or risking his own life. The Police showed up in short order but the intruder jumped over some fences and vanished into the night.

The police took a report and left.

Dad looked right at me then and said "Even though you have a key to the house do not ever come in the house at night unannounced or you are likely to be shot"

He told me what I knew already, that if the person in his back yard had come into the house he would have been shot multiple times the second the back door opened.

I assured dad I would always let him know I was coming. He knew the same was true for my house. Don't walk in unannounced at night. You are very likely to get shot. I am not going to shoot holes in my floor with a warning shot, all bullets will be directed at the threat.

My parents lived in that house for over 35 years and never had one other incident like that.

Ha ha Glen.....reminds of when I had stashed a case of Coors (an east coast treat back then) in our clubhouse in the woods and went to retrieve it one night. Our doberman started raising hell with a bark I'd never heard before. PLEASE, PLEASE don't let Jeremy loose....PLEASE....they didn't....whew

Wasn't worried about the dog....dad would've probably "killed" me though :D
