A little OT: Personal moving with an enclosed car trailer? Good idea?
I am thinking of using my enclosed trailer (in lieu of a moving truck or even a UHual) to move my home.
Does anyone has first hand experience with this and maybe good reasons why I wouldn't do it? It saves money and gives me flexibilty. I do not own a ton of furniture and stuff (estimated to be about 7000 pounds) and I figure in two loads I can do it all. Any overflow can be moved with just the pickup alone. I am moving 200 miles. |

I have done it several times, and helped others a few. Works like a charm. We were using a 28 foot TPD trailer, infact in the past few months it has moved more furniture than race cars.
Take the money you save and buy someting nice for your car.... Jim |

Just watch your weight distribution while loading the trailer and keep proper tongue weight and it shouldn't be a problem. A load is a load, whether it's cars or furniture...

I have a 22' wellscargo and It works great! just ask all my old and lots of new friends. It's amazing how the friends just pile up when you have a trailer of any kind!!!
