I have to say I was pretty disappointed in the behavior of some of the Blue Jays players and some of the fans as well. Here is what I saw either on TV or in person at game 3:
1. Donaldson's going after Kela for the "quick pitch" was ridiculous. Play the game. 2. Bautista seemed like a pretty large douchebag, something I did not notice with him before. There was an incident at game 3 where a Jays bench player was going to toss a kid a ball who happened to be wearing Rangers gear (go figure since the game was in Arlington). Bautista stopped him and waved his finger "no" at the kid. Then he proceeded to jaw at a couple of fans in the stands for about 5 minutes who were calling him out for preventing the kid from getting a ball. Add that to the yelling at Kela in Game 1, bat flipping all the time, etc. Disappointing. 3. The Jays fans did not have a good showing. First of all the near riot during the 7th inning is embarrassing. Enough said. Another fine showing by some Jays fans was again in game three where some idiots behind us decided to yell "Let's go Blue Jays" during the singing of God Bless America. Come on guys, get some class. We all stood quietly during the singing of "Oh, Canada". Some respect and common courtesy is in order. Honestly I can't remember worse fans since we played the Yankees in 2010. Truly was embarrassing. I'll be rooting for the Royals.

There are charges pending for the actions of some of the fans. Disrespect during the anthems of the nations involved is another point contention for me as well. I believe behavior was spawned during some of the Jay's pennant runs from 20 years ago when the Canadian anthem was booed outright at the beginning of several games. It is just not acceptable. I will still be cheering for the Jay's...

Every stadium has had fans throw trash. Even texes.
Texas Rangers apologize for fan trash that littered statue honoring fans Shannon and Cooper Stone Texas throws trash on statues that honor the dead. Shame shame... It never represents the city. The few drunk minority that act in disrespect do not represent the entire city of millions or the tens of thousands at the game. You really need to think a little more. It's not like anyone has control over someone who is drunk screaming go jays during an anthem while the other thousands of people listen respectfully. Large gatherings will cause this behaviour. Forever. How about your the Texas pitcher who gave our guy a tap on his butt? Or when Encarnacion was trying to calm the fans and the pitcher had words with him and started a bench clearer. So classy. And this bat throwing stuff is hilarious. Every other sport the celebrations are huge. So he tossed his bat after huge play. It's so not a big deal. Have you ever made a game winning play?? I have, I celebrated in the rush of adrenaline. |

Pitcher was telling Encarnacion he needs to control his boy.
Bautista's actions have no place in baseball. He's not the first nor the last guy to hit a home run in post season play. Even my 11 year old knows to act like he's been there before.

In Japan its practically part of the sport. An inside joke amongst the players. Flipping of the bat is like a spike in football. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJDCKcF6sTI The Art Of The Japanese Bat Flip So it is culturally acceptable in Japanese baseball but not American baseball? What makes it wrong in this case and right in the other? |

we didn't have a chance against those guys. and next year will be worse.

and it's been documented many times. and the players know it. you don't play enough ball to get to the majors and NOT know it. it's what keeps baseball away from the ignorant 'look at me' bull**** you see in the nfl.

read up a bit on the game. it's a beautiful thing when done right. some guys just can't handle the skill they were gifted.

I played rep ball up until the late teens. What should be the reaction of a game changing home run? A silent jog around the bases?
