Features Not Options On Cars
I have a few Features on some cars that I really liked and wish all cars had them...These Features are not something you can order on a car just some things I wish all cars had.
1 Honda Press the unlock button on the key fob twice and all the window roll down. 2 VW EOS Tap the turn signal lever and you get 3 flashes to change lane. 3 VW EOS you can turn on the radio for 30 Minutes with out a key. I really miss these when we rent or borrow a car. |
1 Roll the windows up too is even better. Very nice when you are in a hurry.
2 Almost all new cars have this now, it's called tap-turn. You can also buy a tap-turn relay on Ebay for about every car now to add the feature to older cars that don't have it. 3 All my newer cars do this, I thought most all modern cars did? I'll add one - Locking fuel door flap, all cars should have this. My Volvos current/past have it, locks w/ 10 minute delay after remote door locked. |
In my mk4 TDI. Hold the key to unlock position in the door lock, and all Windows will roll down too. Haven't tried the new tdi as I haven't taken the key cover off the door handle yet.
I want a snow plow standard. Less body damage when some arse drives like an aß. |
My old acura had the passenger side mirror automatically tilt down when you shifted into reverse. It was a great feature to help with parking.

It also opened the windows and sunroof if you held the unlock button and closed them if you held the lock button. |

2 - getting common these days. 3 - not sure that I care, but I would probably use it occasionally. 4 - getting fairly common these days, but 1 touch up and down on both driver's side and passenger's side windows is cool. |
Auto windows up. Have it in my Volvo. Would like to put it in the truck and 928. Any way to do this?

My Volt has #1 and 2. I like being able to run windows up/down, turn on AC, or seat heaters & defroster from my iPhone. It's been nice on hot days to put the windows down from my desk 10 minutes before I leave the office so the car can cool down. It'll be nice this winter to go out to the garage and get in a warm car with warm seats on cold mornings.

For a while Fords had an access panel on the driver's door that allowed you to unlock the vehicle without your keys. It was extremely handy.

My 2014 escape has it. It's hidden in the trim panel next to the drivers window. It's faintly visible. Touch the panel and the. Umber lights up. They are touch sensitive. Super handy when I go grab something and don't have the key. It's also got the key fob that never leaves your pocket. Walk up and grab the door handle and it unlocks. Tap the black square on the handle and it locks as you walk away. Love that feature!
It also does auto up on all 4 window! Keyless lift gate! Looks like a gimmick in commercials, but works great. Walk up, wave your foot, and the rear hatch opens up automatically. Closes the same way! It has the bump to signal too. Lots of cool new features on cars! |
The key pad on mine looks like this. Still there, just nicely hidden. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1445149281.jpg
