Smallest mini tool
Smallest mini tool? That does as much?

Both are pretty darn cool. Neither is useful enough for me to want to carry.

Well, I backed the campaign for a couple, so you can all envy me, someday, if they ever get delivered . . .

The Ti Nano Pop is really a re imagined P38 in my eyes
P-38_can_opener I have backed about 25 Kickstarter campaigns.... have received the results of 5. One Scumbag took $65K and didn't deliver to a few hundred people...and many of the projects I backed are delayed... Serious Caveat Emptor before backing a project... FWIW, once Kickstarter releases the funds... they are done except to take glory. If a project goes off the rails... they wont do anything for backers.... they really should adjust the model to hold funds in escrow.. and release funds as backers are satisfied.... I know... never going to happen... .. Try and email a "real person" at Kickstarter.... they only have a form on the website.. and offer no direct access.... oops [/hijack] |
It's efficient in the sense that you're wasting very little material when you throw it out.

My industry could not function without milestone payments and the only thing consistent about administering them is that not one is ever like another. The backers by and large won't be qualified to make the correct call and Kickstarter can't possibly add enough staff with relevant knowledge and experience to deal with the quantity of myriad projects that get funded especially when a good number of projects are things or concepts that no one has even seen before. |
That 'nail clipper' is clearly not good....

Both, but especially the super simple one are too small and would suffer from not enough leverage or too rough on your fingers to get much use out of.

As a person who pocket EDCs some gear on a daily basis (small flashlight, Fisher telescopic "space pen", Field Notes notebook, decent sized folder, wallet, keys, Leatherman Wave multitool), this would be a nice thing to have in my rotation on the days when I don't want to rock the Leatherman. I have found some of the smaller (keychain) Leatherman products (Micra, Squirt, etc) not to be up to the challenge.

I wanted to call it "The Fidget".:) |
I think the idea is, some day you really, really need to remove a Phillips screw, strip a wire, cut something. Your teeth and fingernails aren't doing it. So you remove this gizmo from your keyring or fly zipper or necklace (maybe you're a girl) and get it done. Wishing you had a full size tool, but all the same you get it done.
