Hailing Toronto Pelicans!

I'll be visiting Toronto Canada this week and was curious what to see and do. Days are full-up but evenings are open so far.

If anyone's up for a drink let me know!

I may be here. When? Where are you staying?

I think many of them are already down in SW Florida. Lots of Ontario tags here. Early this year, too.

We send all of the skinny ones to Florida early to fatten them up for the winter hibernation.

Get tickets to the jays game tonight, if you can! It'll be a hell of a party, especially if we win.

Tell me about the jays?

Also Ian - I get in around 7 or so, staying at ALT Hotel - Toronto Airport.

Game 3 of the ALCS is in Toronto tonight, first time the Jays have made the post-season in decades. If they lose tonight they're out.

The airport area is a culinary & cultural dead zone. If you have a rental, downtown is the go to. Or you can take the new airport train downtown to Union Station for $25 one way. A taxi or limo would be double that. Uber might be the best door-to-door option.

I am in the near North suburbs - Warden Ave/Sheppard Ave E - north of 401/east of 404. You are certainly welcome here for dinner. 35 min - 1 hr from the airport depending. Any night but tonight. I will PM with contact details.

If you can;t get tickets there is usually a street party of sorts outside the main doors where the humungous outdoor screen is.

Looking on gmaps - yeah the place is a void. I may stay in tonight to catch up on work emails and head elsewhere for dinner. Depends on how far behind I am.

And no... not a big baseball fan - but i'll still have a couple beers and watch the game!

It's also a federal election today, so there's that going on too.

Find a sports bar downtown, order a couple beers and watch the game! That's what the rest of the country's doing tonight.

I'm retired, I have nothing but time on my hands. I'm 20 minutes south of the airport by the lake.
Sent you a pm
