WTB vintage cafe racer, project or finished.

Single or double, Japanese, 'murican, German, 2 stroke or 4, naked or faired. Anyone have an unfinished project in the garage?

Prefer west coast but willing to consider shipping.

Awesome!

That's a REALLY wide range of choices. . . . .

What do you think you want?

Do you want an old bike with upgrades?

Do you want an old bike that could be returned to stock?

Do you need to go fast?

Do you want a new bike that looks old?
Do you want "reliability" or do you want to play around?

There's soooo many great ways to go you really need to at least pick a general direction to start.

Reliability
real age
Go Fast
Returnability to Stock
Resale

Are some of the key words to start with.

Mr. Pat ZEE:

1) Suzuki made the GS1000S for 2 years - 1979 and 1980. Only 700 per year. I have one of each. I would sell the 1980 for $3,200.......Needs rear caliper. Clutch cover gasket leaks a few drips after a ride.

2) 1978 - Triumph 750 Bonneville. The Brown and Gold model. Receipts of Engine top end within the last few thousand miles........$3,200.

You saw them both when you visited Lake Cle Elum....

I have a Yamaha TA125 vintage racer that I will be selling soon.
It is track only though, and those Triumphs may be an awful lot cheaper

But if you are in the market for something collectable ping me.

That's what I was thinking.

Wanna see a pic of my Titan 500 cafe racer?

How about something like this? Might be better in the minds eye than in real life.

Also looking at an Italian pit bike. 2 stroke.

Can someone translate "LUBRIFICATION Fuel with 2% oil mixture *OPTION - oil pump
Ratio 1 : 1,75".

Is that 20:1 or what?

I agree. That one is a bit rough. $2500 sounds about right.
