Yelp Sues South Park for 10 Million Over Episode

I couldn't contain myself with their response. If only it were true...

It's kind of stupid for Yelp to sue South Park. It only draws more attention to the episode, which I now want to watch.

I'm watching it right now, only because I saw the article!

Are they attacking YELP or the stupid YELP reviewers?

I guess now I need to get a high-visibility vest and emboss "I'M NOT A YELPER" in bold in both front and back for when I eat-out.

That episode brought back the vivid memories of what restaurant staff do to the food when the customer pisses them off....

I watched it. Classic South Park skewering of many different things but mostly the users. YELP is only going to draw negative attention to themselves pursuing this.

"Fappy The Anti-Masturbation Dolphin, a mascot for a Christian anti-masturbation organization, says the company is losing business because of Yelp reviewers.

“Before being listed on Yelp we had no problem going around the country speaking to elementary school children about the dangers and consequences of masturbation. Now, with our poor reviews on Yelp, people are beginning to question our morals and ethics, like that is so important. Just because I have been arrested three times for public masturbation and each case was pardoned by the Governor, doesn’t mean our federal funding and government support had anything to do with it. With the assumptions made by Yelp reviewers, they are causing deadly self-rape addictions in this country to continue and in the end it is Big Masturbation that wins. Such a shame.” "

What sort of photos does he have of the Governor? Three times! Wow.

I wonder if little masturbation even had a chance. What is the difference. SO many questions so little time.

Yea - I couldn't figure out what those 2 or 3 paragraphs were doing stuck in the middle of the yelp/southpark article.

The episode was on last night. Pretty darn funny!

They also had another about "charity shaming" at the cash register.

As it turns out, Yelp has a sense of humor

We are happy to report that Yelp is not suing Comedy Central or the creators of South Park.

Headlines to the contrary are yet another case of Parody Taken Seriously.

Last week, a South Park episode called, “You’re Not Yelping,” skewered the popular restaurant review site Yelp.



Yelp also took to Twitter to assure followers the whole ordeal was fake:
