Pleased with my new Harmony RF remote
 

Picked this up recently as my Comcast remote had quit working the volume and I had to use my two kiddos as the remote volume control.

For $129 I am very happy with it. We don't have complex setups, just cable box, DVR, Stereo, TV and DVD player. The ipad app is pretty cool for looking at your favorites list but for the most part we just use the remote itself.

I've been wanting RF control for some time since a neighbor got it and put all his components in a closet resulting in a very clean look. Super simple setup and so far works absolutely great.

I bought the exact same remote on Friday. The setup is incredibly easy and I like the form function of the remote. I have all of my components in a closet, but my reciever is IR only so I had to leave the door cracked. Now I can keep the door closed and the wife is much happier that there are buttons with pictures on it for her to decide what function she wants to use.

I bought one a year or two ago... hope yours last longer than mine... think I got six months (or less) out of it before it died.

I won't be buying another Logitech remote.

The volume control in my receiver remote is inop so I just got the Harmony 650 remote. While iit isn't rf and doesn't have iPad / iPhone integration it is a very well designed integrated remote. Love the setup process through a laptop & USB and love the one-button actions. On setting up one-button actions it prompts you with all the correct actions to take. (Ex: watch tv: turn cable box, TV, and receiver on; volume control? Receiver receiver selection? Cable. TV input? Hdmi 1)

Good technology.

I have one, it's awesome. Will never go back. Mine is the $300+ wiz-bang model. Had it for 2 years. It does get a little wonky when trying to update the firmware, every couple months it will come up with an update, other than that it's trouble free.
