The new Terminator is out on RedBox

Isn't Ahnold getting a little old? Is the movie any good? Yeah, I'm a cheap bastard and don't want to waste the $1.50 and two hours of my time.

patz 11-13-2015 09:23 AM

Yup, it sucked.

gr8fl4porsche 11-13-2015 11:16 AM

It is pretty much a remake of the 1st and 2nd one combined.

Same story. My kids enjoyed the 'smiling' scenes.

Deschodt 11-13-2015 11:25 AM

I liked it more than I liked Spectre !! Then again it was cheaper ! The girl from game of Thrones is in it, she's tiny !

SilberUrS6 11-13-2015 11:33 AM

It was mildly amusing. I liked it on the big screen for all the action, but I won't see it again, even if on free TV.

WolfeMacleod 11-13-2015 01:44 PM

It's also on Netflix... or Amazon Prime.. one of those, I saw it listed...

I suspect you thought Machete sucked as well?

Watching now. A re-hash but so far it's "ok" for an explosion movie. CGI ain't bad.

Nice to see that George Takei snagged the mimetic poly alloy liquid metal Terminator role.
Dude looks like Big George.

Nostril Cheese 11-13-2015 04:26 PM

Truly awful.

I'm sorry, but Emilia Clarke? Don't see the appeal.

Just finished.

Emilia Clarke, Natalie Portman, Chelsea Clinton or Lady Gaga, I couldn't care less.

Why, why, why the John Conner twist?

It is a quality, high dollar production. Arnold is damned good. Reese is good. Sarah is hot T&A just like in the first Terminator, plus a decent actress. Superman Daily Planet editor guy is awesome.

I really wanted to like it. I just didn't. Just over 50% of the way in it went to hell in a hand cart. Back half production was terrific except someone forgot there are science fiction fans with a memory. Argh!

Thanks for the heads up. You guys owe me a buck fiffy.

Yes, we do.

I remember a simpler time. Kill Sarah Conner. How farkin' hard is that to follow?

I can only describe the movie as "meh".

techweenie 11-15-2015 04:37 PM

It looked 'meh' from the first trailer. Unfortunately, I plunked down $1.64 at Redbox for the latest Mad Max... couldn't even finish it. Boring as watching paint dry. Yes, it had a chase and crashes and explosions, but nothing to make me care. And all that despite Charlize Theron, who will forever have a place in my heart for the 'catsuit catfight' in Two Days in the Valley

patz 11-15-2015 04:39 PM

Yup, Techie. That sucked as well.

Then there is Ben Kingsley in "Alien Overlords". Someone give this guy a JOB!.

I am giving this Terminator the 3rd best even though it sucked choad.

It could have been a contender except for the WTF were the screenplay writers thinking?

Just a minor twist maybe? How bout this; Sarah Conner has sex with Uncle Bob and a hybrid "Prius" baby pops out and saves the world.

Oh, hell yes.

But no.

I am furious.

We didn't get to see any boobage. Very disappointing.

Just the shadow on the wall. Tasteful if you are Baptist. (bummer) However, a departure from the original T.

Saw her sweet sweater puppies (lung hammers) in the Game of Thrones.

I looked away, of course.

I feel now like an adult in a world of 3rd Graders...

djantlive 11-16-2015 06:57 PM

I thought it was excellent. Saw it in theater and again on a plane. I like all the terminator movies
