I just bought a 49" M-class Visio (middle tier) 4K smart tv at Sam's Club for $499. It was the biggest that would fit in my wall space. Also got a 5.1 Visio sound bar, $179. Very happy with both.

Thanks for the input, Matt. Where I have my TV mounted - there's only so much space so I think the 50" will be about right.

I'll have to look into the sound bar too....

Night and day Baz, fantastic purchase. Even for football it is hugely noticeable. Upstairs we have the 2.1 (non-surround sound) Visio bar as well.

Had a Sony XBR65X900C installed a couple of weeks ago. It replaced an old 61" Samsung DLP of 10yrs.

Im very happy with it and plan on using it for a long time. Although 4k is not readily available my tv steps up the signal. It also fit my design of my remodel I just completed. The screen is thinner than a cell phone and it hangs on the wall like a picture. It really cleans up the look.

85 inches or GTFO! Seriously though I'm very interested in where prices for the larger 80"+ sets are going over this next year. I'm going to be putting some work into our family room and want to get something that fits the room.

Matt, that is about what I am looking for. Did you wall hang? If so, what hanger did you use?

Kurt I did wall hang it. I was replacing an older 40" Toshiba and my existing wall mount was a perfect fit. It's nothing special just one of the universal fit models that you can find anywhere.

My 50" Vizio from Woot is supposed to arrive tomorrow.

I saw one on display in WalMart and it's huge compared to my current 39".

Can't wait!
