Although that car is somepne's pride and joy, I think it might be the latest Fugly Abortion.

Was it fast?

At first i thought it was a new BMW prototype.

But the front end is too pretty.

They clearly didn't spend much time on the body work. One has to wonder if its a test mule.

Questionable aerodynamics on the side panels.

If you put it in a wind tunnel. it would break the wind tunnel.

It was quite loud - in the american V-8 type range rather than a high-revving italian type range. I only saw it for a few laps, but it didn't seem like it was pushing too hard.

There were other odds and ends on the track as well.

The Can-Am type car was the loudest of the bunch.

There were also two bandelero type cars that looked very fast and did a lot of laps, but I didn't get photos.

Not sure what it is, but it needs more stickers.

I almost like it. It looks like it was built for a purpose, looks be damned. A different set of headlights, something angular would help.

It almost looks home-built, but it also looks a bit too complex to be home-built.

I'm curious to know more about it.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that they wanted to get it out on the track ASAP for some testing and cobbled the body together as a temp just to giterdun.

One more photo that is a little more clear. In fact, with the benefit of some zooming, the name on the driver's side door can be read - August Yeager.

M1 with homemade sheetmetal due to previous encounters with course obstacles?

That drivers door and fender have "met" something.

They've "met" an amateur metalman.
