Disney World

I just got home from a vacation in Disney and can say that I was absolutely shocked at how well that place is run.

I have not been there since I was 7yrs old (30yrs ago) so I didn't remember much of anything

My 8yr old twins had the best time of their lives which is all that mattered to me

Been there several times - its a machine. FastPass is the way to go, even better when you have a blind wife in tow. That white cane is like a light sabre! Even when you go with a package deal it still gets expensive.

Good looking family.

Great food at yeti restaurant in animal kingdom and all restaurants in Epcot. Their app is awesome for fastpass plus and restaurant reservation.

The entire thing is based on fantasy....It really does work well, they people are nice (they have to be!). For what you spend, you don't want to have any unhappiness and they really try to make sure that happens.

Then you leave and you're back in crappy middle Florida on I-4 hustling to the airport.

Glad you enjoyed it. Its something we're pretty good at. It helps to have a lifetime pass for four people. I don't feel that I have to hang there all day when I do go.

Glad you enjoyed it. I haven't been in a few years and am not up on the latest rides and experiences but as a kid growing up in the north suburbs of Orlando, we went quite a bit... and the summer I graduated from high school I got to work there as a monorail pilot. It was eye-opening to a sheltered 18 year old me, but it was a cool experience to get to see all the behind-the-scenes stuff that makes that place tick. Even after seeing that, it still holds a mystique that I think is unmatched by its competition. I worked there during the 25th anniversary celebration of the Magic Kingdom and still have my 25th anniversary name tag and my monorail pilots training manual, lol.

Have been there twice. Late 90's, first time. There was an attraction where you were strapped into your seats and you and others surrounded a center stage where they teleported an alien into a central stage pod and the thing got out. Of course lights went out, alien's breath on you as he walked near.

Shiet my frikkin' pants at 40 years old. Top 5 most frightened times of my life. My kids were quivering masses of jello afterwords.

Somebody throw me a bone and back me up. They must have ditched this thing because it was so frightening.

Edit: In 2005, 2nd trip, wanted to go back into it. Gone.

I was talking to a group of 50something yr old women while in line for a ride who were from CA, they said they come to DW instead of DL because it's so much better

I have never been to DL

There is a ride in Epcot called Test Track...all you guys would love it!!

You sit in a sports car that seats 6ppl it goes through a series of simulations of car handling and braking and then jets out of the building around a race track making you feel like you're in a NASCAR. It was unreal

Epcot's ride Mission to Mars was one of my favorites. I swear it felt like we launched and went weightless. My wife would not try it because she had heard lots of people get motion sickness on that ride. I had no problem.

It's fine. I get motion sickness fairly easily, and I rode it 3 times in a row one night a couple years ago when the park was fairly empty and there were no lines. It's basically a centrifuge - it spins you around simulating massive Gs, then weightlessness, with a visual display that looks like you're blasting off into outer space. The story line is kind of corny, but the experience is awesomely amazing! My late-60s parents went on it and were fine, too.
