Scion iM - anyone have one?
We're in the market for a daily driver for my wife, to pass on her car to our daughter who's in college. With 2 in college we are not looking for anything fancy (read pricey)
We are looking new or nearly new, and the iM caught her eye. We usually keep cars forever- the reason we are updating is our 95 Camry that we bought new is giving up the ghost finally Anyway, the iM...Looks to be a good value and Toyota quality. And she digs the bright yellow. Thoughts from the brain trust? |
Considered one as it seems to be the closest Toyota product to replace my 03 Vibe GT in utility and shape, but certainly not performance. Should be a great product to meet the criteria you mentioned.

Yeah thats the biggest drawback. Reviews of the iM say that it's gutless.
Did you actually drive it? Is it the gutless wonder that I've read online? She also likes the new Honda Fit (in yellow again . . . .). $3K less, better performance, and probably better longevity/resale value. |
Check out the focus too. Just went though a similar search and ended up with a Fiesta, coulnt pass up the deal. My personal choice was the Fit just like the way its laid out. Hard to argue against of them.

Fit and Focus are both great choices in a hatchback. Focus ST for some extra sport. The Fiesta is also great, but the back seats are pretty small.

Don't know about the IM but we both love our Scion XB "10" utility box. It reminds me of a BMW 2002 that I had years ago. Spunky sharp handling, big green house somewhat spartan interior.
