When I was a kid I read the Wizard of Id comic strip. Two of the recurring characters are Bung, the village wino, and a Larsen E. Pettifogger, a lawyer who often occupies a bar seat next to Bung. One strip had Bung trip drunkenly on the sidewalk and land at Larsen's feet. The lawyer looked down at Bung and said "If you can crawl a few more feet to my office I can make us both a lot of money."

I'm not sure why that strip has stuck with me so long but I still use the joke from time to time.

A friend of mine found out that his mom was getting several calls a week from Realtor's that had seen her husbands obituary in the paper.
They all stopped calling after one call to each of the a-holes.

I wonder what he threatened them with?

I had carpel tunnel surgery about a year ago...
Six month later I start getting forms in the mail asking if it was "workplace related?"
I checked the NO box and mail it back.
Form kept coming back, finally I filled it out and wrote in the line "Cause of injury" OLD AGE!

Sid, I've only used a realtor once...for my very first purchase years ago. I located three houses I was interested in and enlisted a buyer's agent (recommended by a friend) in order for someone to help me through the process, who's fiduciary obligation was with me and not the seller. Met her at 5, looked at the three, committed to purchase the one I wanted by 9. Might be the easiest $ she ever made...she sent a potted plant to my work in appreciation...that's certainly more than I usually pay for a plant though

There are dozens of law firms who care about me, as the owner of a diesel VW. (What they don't know is that it was totaled a few months ago and we no longer have it.)
