Stream albums and Radio?
What's the best place to stream music? I was using Rdio, but they got bought out.
|
We use Pandora and Spotify all the time, rarely buy music now.
If you are Prime member, the amazon streaming service is cool too |
live365.com Been using it for over a decade. 10000 stations and I got my favorites. I don't care what music you like they have it PERIOD!!

I like Amazon Prime. $99/year for shipping, videos, and music.
Nice thing about Amazon Prime music is that you can download the songs to your phone, ipod, etc and listen offline. Plus, there are a huge number of preformatted playlists and stations you can stream. |
Tidal. Spotify is the world-wide giant. Pandora is the runner-up followed by everybody else. But Tidal streams with flac files that are just a tiny, teeny bit off in quality in direct comparison to a CD imho. Everybody else uses compressed files. Squashed dynamics with a slight bright haze. Apple included btw. Rdio did have the best new music playlists though . . . :( I would find it on Rdio & play it on Tidal.

Here is a Tidal playlist: tidal.com/playlist/09ac236d-c362-4ae3-9424-d59c981a44c3
Copy & paste that into a browser. Sign up for a trial & make sure that you go to settings > streaming & set it to flac 1411. If those tracks don't convince you of the benefits of high quality streaming, nothing will. Ian |
Tidal is very cool. I like real radio, with live dj's, so I use tunein. Nothing beat WWOZ on the day Toussaint passed, or, well, you get the idea.

Im pretty bummed about rdio... They had a depth in their catalog that will be hard to match.

Amazon Prime is perfect.
As stated above: free shipping, music and movies. 49 Euro per year in Europe. Music and movies can be downloaded for offline listening and watching. The apps are very good. |
